Networking Opportunities

CPI strives to provide ways for you to connect with your fellow career professionals.

CPI Mentor Program

  • Offered January-April and September-December
  • The CPI Mentor Program is meant for members who are seeking a deeper connection with another career professional, meeting 1:1 one hour per month for four months. Mentees create agendas and ask questions in a safe environment; mentors (generally 4+ years of experience) provide insight, challenging and supporting mentees.

P2P NET

  • 2024- offered May-August
  • P2P NET is a virtual format for CPI members to meet one-on-one to share with and learn from each other. Unlike the mentoring program, this is a one-time chat with a peer, allowing you to grow your professional network and gain insight from other institutions/offices quickly. By registering, your name will be matched with another interested CPI member, and the two of you will set up a one-hour virtual networking session. You would receive your first P2P NET match by the end of April (for a May meeting), then you’d receive a new match each month of the program (through August).

Annual Conference

  • Hosted each year by a different college/university in Iowa
